Rate Settings
Behind the scenes of the rate board: where to read rates from (API), how far the buy and sell rates should sit from the mid rate, and how many decimal digits each currency rounds to.
Fields
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Enable API | While enabled, rates are read periodically from the API. |
| API address / token | The rate provider's connection details. |
| Buy/sell spread (%) | Per currency; the buy and sell rates are built from the mid rate using this percentage. |
| Rounding | The number of decimal digits for each currency's rate (for toman/rial it can be negative: rounding to hundreds/thousands). The rounded rate is used everywhere in the app. |
Notes
- System defaults: a 0.5% spread for the dirham/euro family and 1% for the rest; 3 decimal digits, toman −2, and rial −3.
- The "price jump guard" rejects unusually sudden changes so a wrong rate doesn't make it onto the board.
