Balance Sheet
A snapshot of the exchange at a chosen date: what we own, what we owe, and how much is truly ours. Unlike Profit and Loss, which covers a period, the balance sheet shows a single moment — like stopping the clock and counting everything.
The Three Groups
| Group | Meaning |

| Assets | Everything we hold or are owed by others. |
| Liabilities | Everything we owe to others. |
| Equity | What is left for you once every debt is paid. |
The Rows
| Row | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Cash & Banks | Cash boxes, banks, and wallets combined — money on hand. |
| Customer receivables (debtors) | Customers who owe you money. |
| Fixed assets | Property, vehicles, equipment — things that are not day-to-day spending. |
| Clearing & Suspense | Money in transit or not yet identified. A large figure here means something was left half-finished. |
| Customer payables (creditors) | Customers whose money is with you. |
| Equity | Partners’ contributions and withdrawals. |
| Profit & Loss | The net of income and expenses, added to (or subtracted from) equity. |
The Columns
- Each currency has its own column; the figures are raw and unconverted.
- The last column converts every currency to the reference currency at the board mid rate and totals it.
- Liabilities and equity are shown credit-positive: a positive number means you owe — it is not negative and it is not a mistake.
Balance check (must be zero)
The algebraic sum of all accounts in each currency. In double-entry bookkeeping every debit has a matching credit, so this figure must be zero. If it is not zero and turns red:
- Do not try to fix it yourself and do not post a voucher.
- Move the date back to find the day the problem started.
- Report it to support; this indicates a technical fault, not a user error.
Notes
- Change «To Date» to see the position on any past day; today is the default.
- Accounts with a zero balance are not shown at all.
- The reference-column figure moves with the board rate; for a more realistic number, run Currency Revaluation first.
- Excel and PDF are generated for the selected date.
